Horse Riding
There aren't that many places to enjoy horse riding in Bali as these magnificent creature are not native to the island. However, there are a few guided tours for riders of all levels. Sessions range from two to three hours and provide a most natural means of transportation to discover some unique sights along Bali beachfronts and quaint back lanes.By A True Balinese Experience

Mountain biking is offered in the stunning local village (can be combined with rafting) and the exciting Kintamani Volcano and Jatiluwih Rice Paddy rides.

And best of all-that place is our own village. Alit Yudha, the company’s founder, had a dream to improve the social conditions in the surrounding villages by encouraging tourism. When the company started it had only a handful of people, and now it contributes to employing up to 200 people in and around the beautiful location.
A True Balinese Experience is just north of the Sangeh Monkey Forest, across the river from Ubud in the village of Carang Sari. It’s a scenic drive passing through lots of local life. Our location is perched on the edge of the Ayung River-over 20 hectares of lush fertile grounds including rice paddies, jungles and small plots of cocoa and chillies. The views are amazing-this is definitely one of the most beautiful places in Bali.

Bali Horse Riding
After being welcomed at our Saba Bay Stables, receive a full and comprehensive safety briefing from our professional guides before embarking on a memorable horse riding experience along the black volcanic sands and crashing waves of Saba Beach. Take a unique look at this seaside village as you pass the Pura Segara Wilis temple before heading out onto the wide sandy beach. In the distance is Nusa Penida Island and beyond on a clear day you will also see the silhouette of the great volcano Gunung Agung.
Enjoy a peaceful ride along the beach before passing through bamboo and alang-alang plantations where wild banana trees and pineapples thrive. Also are many species of birds and a special temple dedicated to the annual rice harvest. Head back onto the beach and see the brightly coloured traditional fishing boats called ‘jukung’ before arriving at the Bali Mesari Villa for lunch and refreshments. (No experience necessary.)

The Umalas Equestrian Resort, Situated near the beach in the lush green rice fields of Kerobokan is the most comprehensive riding facility on the island. Every visitor is greeted with the beautiful smile of the friendly Balinese people. Umalas stable thirty-two horses thoroughbreds, Warm-Bloods, Stock Horses and Thoroughbred Crosses, as well as ponies of different breeds. Some of horses are imported from Australia and Europe, to provide a selection of disciplines and sizes to suit every rider's needs. High quality English tack ensures safety and comfort for every ride. Qualified European and local instructors teach beginners through to advanced riders. Dressage and Show Jumping lessons are held in our riding hall and outdoor arena.
The guests can enjoy rides along Bali's beautiful beaches and through the lush rice terraces of local villages. Riders of all levels can uniquely experience traditional Balinese life viewed from horseback and will take home unforgettable memories of magical rides in the land of the smiles.
Riding School
The Umalas Equestrian Resort offer everyone who would like to learn to ride even children through lunge lessons, vaulting, dressage and riding camps and give them the opportunity to bond with the horses. The Umalas Equestrian Resort also provide a riding hall and an outdoor arena. The outdoor arena has stunning views of Bali's beautiful rice paddies and our riding hall allows to ride even on a rainy day.
Sawah IndahA half hour beautiful rice field tour. An enjoyable ramble through rural Umalas, passing along a quiet river bank, through a village and cross rice paddies before returning to the stables (Special for guest who stay in at Umalas Equistrian Resort only).
Tepi LautTwo hours sea shore tour. Discover Balinese rural life, enjoy the trees and shadows along the river, see a brilliant green rice paddies. Once you reach the coast you will turn north or south according to beach conditions and canter in the sea spray.
